The incinerator had a 70” overhung fan - provided by another manufacturer - pulling from a wet scrubber that self-destructed due to either chemical attack or faulty welds. This facility has two furnaces; therefore, the loss of this fan reduced incineration tonnage by half.
Robinson, when called, immediately sent field technicians to the jobsite to measure the components that needed to be replaced. The replacement components were promptly manufactured by Robinson Fans and delivered to the jobsite. Robinson Service technicians installed the replacement Hastalloy C-276 rotor. Robinson Service installed all new equipment along with new ductwork (supplied by Robinson Fans) in five (5) 10-hour shifts.
All new equipment, from the outlet of the wet scrubber to the stack inlet, was provided by Robinson Fans and Robinson Service and installed at the site. The end result was a quieter, smoother and more efficient fan system, all from Robinson.
