Special Features

The IE Exhauster is furnished with standard construction when operating with impeller tip speeds to 15,00 feet per minute.  Extra-heavy construction is required, as indicated by the shaded areas on the multi-rating tables, when impeller tip speeds are in excess of 15,000 feet per minute.  Extra-heavy construction will, in most cases, require an extra-heavy wheel, larger-than-standard shaft and bearings.  A heavy-duty casing is furnished on standard and extra-heavy-duty units.

Corrections for elevated temperature and altitude correction curves

A fan operates at a constant volume. At temperature and attitudes other than 70 F standard and sea level, correction factors must be applied to the desired ratings for conversion to standard conditions

Temperature Corrections

Where operation temperatures are other than 70° F, determine factor from the curve for the desired temperature. Divide pressure at operating condition by the factor taken from the curve. This provides the 70° F pressure condition. Select fan size from the capacity table, using the CFM desired and the corrected SP. Read the RPM and BHP from the table at this point.  For horsepower at operating conditions, multiply the HP from the tables by the correction factor taken from the curve. industrial exhaust fans
